  • 3DMedivision Signs Contract with Japan ‘Vector Inc’ For Medical 3D Video Education Content Agency 2023-07-07

3DMedivision, a medical edu-tech company, announced that it has signed an agent contract with Vector Inc. to enter the medical 3D video education content market for Japanese veterinarians and humans.

Vector is a Japanese business partner and distributor of 3DMedivision and plans to provide all the services necessary to enter Japan, including market promotion, sales and marketing, and consulting.

Through this contract, 3D Medivision will target the Asian medical education market after the U.S. by providing veterinary surgery education video content platform ‘Veterflix’, practical education services, medical consulting services using ‘PDRN’, and surgical education content platform in the field of human medicine, ‘Surgflix’.

Meanwhile, Vector is Japan's No. 1 marketing agency and conducts comprehensive communication activities such as advertising planning, management consulting, promotional marketing, sales and distribution, and venture investment. Since its establishment in 1993, it has been listed on the Tokyo Exchange in 2012 and has a market capitalization of about 63 billion yen (4.4 hundred million dollar).

It also has a rich overseas network starting from its Tokyo headquarters in Japan, Osaka, Fukuoka, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and has a high understanding of the Asian market based on the know-how accumulated at each base.

Currently, there are a total of 17 veterinary universities in Japan and 40,000 veterinarians, twice the size of Korea (10 veterinary colleges and 20,000 veterinarians). In addition, with the introduction of the "Animal nurse" national certification system since last year, the demand for tests and medical education to complete the curriculum and obtain certificates is expected to be high.

In addition, Japan has a high preference for professional veterinarians with international certificates, and the need for professional education is expected to be high as clinical sites in animal hospitals such as animal home visits, pet prevention medical centers, and pet oriental medicine treatments are being advanced and subdivided.

For these reasons, 3DMedivision plans to join hands with Vector to create meaningful results of its veterinary medical education content business in the Japanese market, traditionally called ‘Pet’s Heaven’.

"The Japanese pet market is worth 16 trillion won, 3.5 times that of Korea, and the number of animal hospitals in Japan is systematic enough to be similar to the number of convenience stores," a vector official said.

He added, "We plan to strengthen 3DMedivision's competitiveness in the Japanese market through Vector's excellent communication skills and efficient cooperation."

  • 3D MediVision Veterflix, Professor Yoon Hak-young's ultrasound practice completed. 2023-02-15

24 veterinarians...Abdominal and Cardiac Ultrasound Lectures and Practice for 2 Days

Veterflix (veterflix.com), serviced by 3D Medivision (CEO Kim Ki-jin), a medical edutech company, announced that it has successfully completed two days of ultrasound training with Professor Yoon Hak-young (Veterinary Imaging Medicine at Chonbuk National University).

A total of 24 veterinarians participated in the training, and a total of eight tables were operated, one trillion per three. On the first day, it dealt with abdominal and cardiac ultrasound on the second day, and after learning the basics through theoretical lectures in the morning, practical training through experimental dogs continued in the afternoon.

The training was legally conducted through IACUC-approved experimental dogs at the VGTC (Veterflix Global Training Center), a veterinarian clinical practice education and training center in Songdo run by Betterflix.

The latest ultrasound equipment from Samsung Medison and Canon was used for practical training, and Professor Yoon Hak-young oversaw the entire practice and one instructor was assigned to each of the two tables to assist practical training.

The students expressed satisfaction with the ultrasound training, leaving reviews, saying, "The environment was good," "I was satisfied with the theory and practice lectures," "I was able to focus on various organs for a long time," "I liked the fact that graduate teachers and professors taught me throughout the practice," and I was satisfied with the ultrasound training.

After two days of training, certificates were issued to 24 students.

Students of this ultrasound practice will be provided with Professor Yoon Hak-young's theoretical lecture and ultrasound demonstration video separately for 30 days on the day of the practice. Students are expected to be able to improve the completeness of their learning by freely getting a chance to review for 30 days, not just in simple practice.

"We plan to conduct more improved ultrasound practice more often in the future," a Veterflix official said. "We will try to provide veterinarians with more opportunities to practice in various fields."

  • Karl Storz-Endo Scope Korea holds first veterinary arthroscopic workshop. 2023-02-15

On the 5th (Sat), a medical endoscope company, Karl Storz-Endo Scope Korea (CEO Kim Tae-hyun, Karl Storz-Endo Scope Korea) held an arthroscopic workshop for veterinarians at VGTC in Songdo, Incheon.

The Small Animal Arthroscopy Masterclass Workshop was the first workshop (Hands-on course) organized by Karl Storz Korea for domestic veterinarians.

The event was held with lectures and hands-on guidance from Mark Glyde, a professor at Murdoch University in Australia. Professor Mark Glide, AOVET lecturer and European Veterinary Surgeon (DECVS), is a world-renowned authority in veterinary orthopedic neurosurgery. He has also visited Korea several times and is highly recognized among domestic veterinarians.

The workshop consisted of theoretical lectures, hands-on practice, and Wrap-Up, which lasted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Theoretical lectures and hands-on practices were conducted alternately, starting with a subjective clause (front leg bend joint), which is good for applying the arthroscopicity for the first time.

Professor Mark Glide helped participants understand by explaining with easy examples. Veterinarian Kim Ah-young, who majored in veterinary neurosurgery at Seoul National University's College of Veterinary Sports Medicine (ACVSMR) and completed the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabitation course, also interpreted smoothly.

Participants in the workshop said, "I wanted this type of lecture," adding, "I thank Karl Storz vsfor providing a good learning opportunity, and many questions have been resolved."

In particular, veterinarians who directly participated in the Hands-On course said, "We found that surprisingly, it does not take a lot of equipment to start the arthroscopic surgery."

Veterinarians who could not directly participate in the Hands-On course remained in the lecture hall and watched the course in real time through the VGTC's system. Not only practice videos, arthroscopic images, but also voices were shared in real time. Veterinarians expressed satisfaction with the latest real-time broadcasting system.

The VGTC (Veterflix Global Training Center), established in Songdo by 3D Medivision Veterflix for clinical practice training for veterinarians, is equipped with wet-lab facilities including real-time 3D relay equipment so that you can perform surgery or perform ultrasound while watching 3D images.

Karl Storz Korea explained, "Karl Storz is the only company that provides the largest number of animal-only endoscopic products, ranging from ultra-small to ultra-large animals," adding, "We are communicating with veterinarians and providing various educational opportunities at the global level."

"This workshop was Karl Storz Korea's first step for domestic veterinarians who want to acquire the latest knowledge and skills in the developing veterinary field," he said. "We will continue to actively carry out domestic workshops in the future."

Meanwhile, Karl Storz runs the Center for Advanced Veterinary Education (CAVE) with Murdoch University. Two workshops are scheduled for November, and you can contact us at CAVE@murdoch.edu.au or +61(08)93606342 (Principles of Arthroscopy for Small Animal Practice, November 18-19 Small Animal Advanced Arthroscopy – Stiple Joint).

  • Change the paradigm of education to 3D 2023-02-15

CEO Interview Kim Ki-jin, CEO of 3D Medivision Co., Ltd.

"We started 3D shooting to change the paradigm of effective teaching methods."

Kim Ki-jin, CEO of 3D Medivision, developed a camera that photographs the surgical process in 3D and received a patent. This is when pets are culturalized for more than 30,000 dollars. Therefore, the possibility of veterinarians is infinite, and the need for training and content for surgery has been judged, and 3D filming techniques have been created.

All surgical contents for veterinarians are being distributed in 3D files. VETERFLIX of 3D Medivision is a surgical education platform for veterinarians. The reason why CEO Kim Ki-jin developed 3D was that he got the idea from filming in 3D when filming a movie in Hollywood.

The effect is much better when viewed in three dimensions than when viewed in a flat manner In addition, since it is VR, it is developed into AR, etc., and the video itself is unconditionally aiming for 3D. Only 5% of robotic surgery can be performed during surgery. In other words, people have to do it after all.

According to the paper, surgery is possible only after training for more than 20,000 hours. Assuming that you study 58 hours a week, this period is more than 10 years. Eventually, as RCT technology developed, surgical education entered the era of studying with computers or mobile phones rather than books. Therefore, there is a growing awareness that computer or cell phone education is necessary in medical education. 3D Medivision's educational platform can also be viewed on computers or mobile phones.

CEO Kim Ki-jin continues to film clinical cases for each surgical and clinical case at Seoul National University Hospital or Yonsei University Hospital.

#Loyalty of 360 content users is more than 40%

Currently, contents are being collected to provide free service to academic societies. Veterinary schools started filming content three years ago and have about 360 contents. Currently, about 17 percent are studying the content, but they say their loyalty exceeds 40 percent.

For quality educational content, I started from the basics with professors. The good thing about digitizing is that good content can be produced from the preparation of surgery to the prognosis after surgery. In fact, content can be expanded to veterinary use, veterinary use, and animal health use.

The veterinary professors' council and the dog surgery process were actually filmed for two years in line with the veterinary curriculum, and eight veterinary colleges are using this content.

"The 3D video education method has clear sustainability."

Because it looks three-dimensional, the effect of learning is clear. The 3D image education method has proven to be the most effective.

#VETERFLIX Surgical Education Platform for Veterinary Doctors

VETERFLIX is growing by more than 200% every year. You can study in advance at Betterflix and practice as much as you want in the seminar room in Songdo. This is because medical education with practice is popular.

It already has content to start in eight English-speaking countries. It also plans to list stocks to show the growth potential of its business model. The goal of 3D Medivision is to help doctors check surgical procedures with 3D images and share them remotely with people in other areas.

You can feel as if you are in the same space as the actual operating room and see a surgical field like a surgeon. Surgflix.com is the world's first educational surgery 2 DHD and 3D video sharing platform. It operates GLOVAL VETERFLIX, a global site for surgical education for veterinarians around the world.

"It's no use if you don't practice. Hands-on courses are essential for training.

You can practice at the training center located in Songdo. VGTC stands for the Veterflix Global Training Center and is Asia's largest retraining center.

    # Training Center in Songdo

An investment company called Notters is conducting clinical reagents using experimental animals. There is a seminar room for veterinarians and veterinary students to practice with experimental animals approved by the IOCC. It was completed at the end of last year and started the hands-on course for the first time in May this year. The structure of retraining what you studied in 3D video at VGTC in Songdo. This is the goal of the education platform that 3D Medivision aims for.

Now, it doesn't seem that far away that doctors around the world share surgical methods with 3D surgical images. At the heart of it is 3D Medivision.

  • It's beyond reality...Advancement of educational environment for medical devices 2022-10-28
    | The 11th Medical Device Innovation Seminar 'Importance of Medical Device Practice' was held.
    | From laparotomy to minimally invasive, emergency room implementation...Medtronic's "MIC".
    | 3D MediVision 'VGTC', a link between OTT and practice for professionals only.
    | Government to Build Large-Scale Education Centers in Incheon and Seongnam

Above all, the medical device practice and education infrastructure, where proficiency is important, is expanding not only to upgrade facilities but also to online using 3D cameras.
    c
The government is also planning to invest in the opening of wide-area domestic medical device education and training support centers in Seongnam and Incheon by 2025, drawing keen attention to the creation of safe use of medical devices and localization of large medical devices.
The Bastian Foundation held the 11th Medical Device Innovation Seminar on the 27th. Kim Kyung-min, head of the Medtronic Innovation Center, a Korean research center for global medical device company Medtronic, and Kim Ki-jin, CEO of 3D MediVision, who runs the 3D camera-based veterinary training center VGTC, introduced the importance of medical device education and current status of medical device education for each company.

From laparotomy to minimally invasive, emergency room implementation...Medtronic's "MIC".
MIC stands for Medtronic Innovation Center and is a medical device R&D and education center operated by Medtronic, a global medical device company, in Songdo, Korea.
It provides medical personnel with training programs for proper use of medical devices, provides solutions using medtronic products, and provides educational programs to enhance their understanding and capacity building.
The center consists of Wet Lab for open and minimally invasive surgery training, Hybrid Lab for radiation equipment training, ICU Lab for emergency situations, and Surgical Synergy Lab for orthopedic medical devices training.
Kim Kyung-min, head of the center, said, "Most medical field education is conducted in apprenticeship, so it is true that intern or resident-level medical staff are provided with a limited practice environment. Since the opening of the center, our education programs have been linked to the specialist course."

According to Kim, the center was visited by 2,550 medical staff last year, and the center provided 151 educational programs.

3D MediVision 'VGTC', a link between OTT and practice for professionals only.
3D Medivision, a professional educational platform developer based on 3D video technology, operates an online and offline convergence education model through the connection of domestic and foreign educational institutions such as 3D video device development, its own OTT platform, and VGTC.
"VETERFILX," a self-developed medical OTT platform, was developed for veterinary education purposes and allows students to take 3D video contents such as veterinary anatomy without time and space restrictions.
CEO Kim Ki-jin said that such virtual environment theory education leads to practice in the company's training center, VGTC. It also added that this includes the company's value of expanding the educational system centered on apprenticeship educators.
CEO Kim said, "The type of medical education we pursue is centered on educators," and explained, "This led to the development of a platform that can use medical devices and review education contents without time and space constraints and lead to practice."

Medical Device Training...Essential to Localization Challenges
Education is the key element of localization of medical devices in Korea. This is because by using domestic medical devices at the educational stage, it can naturally lead to entry into domestic medical devices in the clinical field.
In response, related ministries such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency selected Incheon Metropolitan City (Incheon Techno Park) and Seongnam City (Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency) as local governments dedicated to education and training of Korean medical devices.
Seongnam City and Incheon Metropolitan City Association of Gyeonggi Province, which were selected for the wide-area domestic medical device education and training support center project, will receive 12.5 billion won each over five years, and △ operate education and training programs for △ establishment of medical device suitability evaluation infrastructure △ permanent exhibition.
