Goals of En Bloc Capsulectomy

- Sticky, fibrotic tumor
- Dissection of pseudocapsule fromm overlying normal gland & arachnoid
- Complete resection of tumor with pseudocapsule in one piece
- Minimize the normal gland injury, CSF leakage

Definition of Pseudocapsule of Pituitary Tumor

- Thin layer of compressed, degenerated fibrous tissue which was originated from anterior pituitary gland between pituitary adenoma and normal pituitary gland
- Some authors insisted that pseudocapsule Is not necessary to remove out, because it is compressed pituitary tissue
